January 12 Photo

This is my best friend Amy and her hubby Rob. The picture above is my Christmas present from them and hubby is the one that stitched the picture. Isn't she just a beautiful fairy? I just love this picture and Rob does beautiful cross stitch. There is a companion piece to go with this one and I told him he would have to stitch that one too, since every cross stitcher has their own style. He just laughed. This is one of the nicest Christmas presents I have ever received and I can really appreciate all the time he had in stitching this for me.
Also, to everyone who says my quilt is "lookin good", a big THANK YOU.

That was a very thoughtful gift. Lots of men enjoy some form of handwork, and they do it very well.
I hope he does the companion piece for you.

Hi Cheryl, What a lucky lady to have such beautiful needlework given to you. I love to do needlework and have been away from it a bit to long, so am looking at doing that again soon.... Your friends look like very nice people, very down to earth... Can you find out the name of the designer of the fairy cross stitch and let us know... ;o)) Romona

How beautiful it is and, having done a few cross-stitch pieces myself in the past, I can appreciate all the work he put into it. Lucky you!

Wow...she's absolutely beautiful!

I once overheard a local "judge" expressing her amazement at a sample of needlework being shown to her by a woman....in the conversation the judge commented on the number of hours it must have taken and that the back was just as amazing as the front... the woman then said it was done by a guy with nothing but time on his hands....her husband who was in jail.
